I am a clinical and health psychologist, with a Master's degree from the University of Porto, Portugal. I believe that a psychotherapeutic relationship should come from a place of genuine acceptance, a heartfelt desire to listen and to work together, as to understand one’s experiences and to make sense of them. I have an integrated approach, which combines strategies from different schools of psychology and personal development, so as to better meet each person's characteristics and needs. I am a PhD researcher in the subject of family relationships and emotional regulation.

As a psychologist, my aim is to provide effective psychological support and guide to the people that I work with to identify and manage difficulties that negatively affect their psychological wellbeing. In addition to a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, through further training in evidence based cognitive-behavioural therapy I have specialised in a range of areas for intervention including anxiety, depression, phobias, stress and emotional management. I have several years of experience within both primary and secondary care, as well as multicultural settings, which assists me in tailoring interventions to meet the needs, strengths and goals of each individual.
